All orders are shipped from the UK by our fulfilment partners Classic Hand Tools. We use Classic Hand Tools because this significantly improves the service to our customers.
Shipping & Tax
Until recently it was the customer’s responsibility to pay import duty, customs clearance fees and local taxes if they purchased a tool from Forge de Saint Juery.
Now, however, we have partnered with Flavorcloud to offer Delivered Duties Paid (DDP) shipping in our checkout.
DDP shipping takes care of all the taxes, import duty and custom clearance fees. The total is calculated at the checkout and charged in full. The rates will vary depending on the recipient location. Rest assured, there will be no unexpected fees when the goods pass through customs.
Since we have streamlined our shipping service, our US customers may find that the total shipping cost is cheaper than before - even with all the import costs covered!
In order to offer this service, we must now charge in USD across the site. We apologise if this is an inconvenience to any of our customers.
UK customers may wish to order in GBP from our fulfilment partner Classic Hand Tools.
We are working on offering more currency options in 2023.
Delivery times provided are estimates only and do not include customs and carrier delays. Sometimes packages can get held at customs longer than anticipated which is, unfortunately, out of our control.
You will be provided a tracking code with every shipment. You can use this tracking code to find out where your package is and the date you can expect it to arrive.
Out of Stock & Special Order Tools
If a tool is out of stock, please email us at email@example.com and we can give you an estimate of how long it might take.
Some tools may be out of stock simply because they are "Special Order". These include left handed tools and some larger rasps.
Special Order tools must be made on request, so please do not hesitate to email us directly.
In case of loss or damage
You must inform us within 28 working days after expected delivery if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence. You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
